There are seven types of membership categories as explained below, so everyone is eligible to join CSNO. Please find your membership type below.
shall be registered nurses holding state credentials to practice as school nurses in California. School nurses on leave of absence or engaged in full-time teaching, administration or study or retired shall retain their right to active membership. Active members shall have all rights and privileges.
shall be allied professionals, registered nurses, licensed vocational nurses, or others employed by school boards of education, a public agency, a governing board of a private school, or a board of trustees of an institution of higher education. Associate members shall have all rights and privileges, but may not vote or hold elected office.
shall be those persons who hold a special interest in or who are working with CSNO and who do not fit into any other CSNO membership classification. Member-at-large shall have all rights and privi-leges, but may not vote or hold elected office.
shall be past state presidents that have retired. Life members shall have all rights and privi-lege, but shall not hold elective office. Please contact the CSNO office to determine your rate.
shall be registered nurses who are working on the requirements for a clear school nurse credential or possess a clear school nurse credentialed pursing an advanced nursing degree. Student members shall have all CSNO rights and privileges.
shall be school nurses who have held active membership, but are retired. Retired members shall have all rights and privileges.
shall be entities who desire to support the goals of CSNO and whose members are ineligible for membership in other CSNO membership category. Corporate/Business/Professional Organization shall have all rights and privileges, but may not vote or hold elected office.
